Volunteer teams of 2-3 persons will walk 2-5 miles along the stream channel to record the presence or absence of water. Expect hot and sandy conditions. There will be cactus and riparian vegetation to walk around, and some boulder scrambling. Wet and muddy conditions may occur. Prior to the event volunteers must acclimatize themselves in order to handle the heat.
Attendance at safety training and orientation is required, especially for new volunteers. The training will be held at the BLM Deer Valley Office, June 2 (see calendar) from 9am - 1pm.
