Come celebrate National Public Lands Day with us! With the Halloween spirit in the air, we will be assembling bat houses around AFNM. These houses provide bats with safe roosting environments and a warm place to raise their pups! We will also be performing beautification projects, such as cleaning up the trailhead area and replacing signs. We will wrap up with lunch and an interpretive hike on the Badger Springs Trail leading to the Agua Fria River. There will be a chance to see some pre-historic petroglyphs along the way! All Volunteers will receive a NPLD t-shirt and a fee-free pass to participating federal public land sites. Please make sure to bring: gloves, hat, sunscreen and extra water. See you all there!
